all dumb things I do

Yes, indeed. All DUMB things I do. I do A LOT of silly things. I'll give you some examples ...

The week before this week
I was cycling on one of these cozy ways in the countryside (= where I live) - I just had a serious conversation with my grandma, and that's what I was thinking about - when I thought: why don't I try to cycle with my eyes closed. So, that was exactly what I did, and - yes! - it went very well. Then I thought; oh, why not once more! And yes I did it again without falling or getting of track (for 3 seconds). Since it all worked out very well, I decided to push the limits and do it twice as long! I thought I was a natural at blind-cycling... But suddenly I felt a mogul. I opened my eyes immediately and it was really scary to see the channel (did I say it right?) coming closer and closer... and then BOOM. There I lay. All on my own, in a hole on the side of the street surrounded by spiders and all other creatures. Luckily I'm not a sissy (well, I do not consider myself as one) so I climbed out - with my bike which was curved in a not normal way - ...

Well, my opinion is that driving in the ditch is a one life time experience and I have to admit I'm happy I survided that experience, but it was really stupid of me, and that is why it's one of the dumb things I do.

Today
Today I went with a friend to the shop to look for a present for another friend .. :)
We wanted to do something really original (we did not succeed, I'm afraid..) and we bought a lot of small/cute/... stuff, and also a white T-shirt on which we're going to write and paint !
Apparently, I was not paying attention to prices (normally I do) so when we were in the next store I saw cheap white shirts  and I looked for the bill to see what the one we bought cost. That shirt was not even pretty (since we wanted to write on it) and it was not cheap - at least not cheap enough for the purpose it served. Outcome: we ran back to the previous shop and asked the cashier to take it back and repay us (I told her that I did not want the shirt and that I was totally mistaken and so on...). And that is what I consider as dumb :) at least we got our money back!

Each day I say so many silly things, so I'll post at least once a week about my stupidities, people like to read about people who are even more stupid then they are, I guess :D

i like the slip-with-puppet-head and the body suits
why don't  you just visit the site to watch all designs ? don't worry ! it's no porn at all ! it's progressive and something new, which is good (in my opinion!)

lay-out
i want to change the lay-out of this blog, but i don't know where to start, and to be honest, i don't know how
(i do know how to change it, but not how to make it modern)

there are those days

This day sucked
well, actually it was kinda nice, but then i came home...
now someone i see as a very good friend is mad at me,  and that really is horrible
it's about something for school and we didn't arrange it well, so she and i both worked a lot on the lay-out, while just one of us should. i talked to her on msn but she is not much of a chatter so now i only feel worse
i hate it ! just now i was getting closer to her, i hate it
i never had an argue with her before, so i hope it'll be sorted out... really hope so !

well, nothing can make me laugh now and my latin test tomorrow won't be great. i'm just the kind of people that keeps thinking of something bad all day and can't think positively on these days.

the one thing that may help is georgia nicolson, if she won't make me laugh, who will?

My designs

What I love to do is draw
When I get bored in class, I draw. That means I draw all the time, actually. At home I don't draw a lot, except for special occasions and blahblahblah. My most beautiful drawings are made during French, Latin, history, ... And my favourite subjects are people, especially girls. I'm working on my sixpack-skills, because that I'd like to draw too. But, besides that, girls/women are a lot more fun to draw, because of the clothes and accessories. Boysfashion can be very cool and creative too, but for now I stick to the stronger gender. It's amazing to draw fashionable women because you can do whatever you want. If you say it's fashion, and you like it, then it is fashion.
Here are some of my French and study drawings:

I really like French elegance and berets. This is no beret, and on me it would look ugly as hell, but I like it. It reminds me of the snood my grandma has, but it can be worn in a stylish way, I believe.
Of course you cannot compare drawn figures with real people, but I do it anyway. Usually I name my fashionista's, but this one I haven't got a name for. I think it might be a Milla or something like that. Ideas ?

She looks a bit startled. Wonder what surprised her.
Okay no that's a little undue. :)

This model is really skinny. Too skinny, really, but that's another case.

I was thinking of Avatar, actually. Avatar as a combination of the blue Na'vi on the planet Pandora and the element controllers of the series on Nickelodeon.
She has the same sort of hat as the drawing above, and a jumpsuit. I'm totally into jumpsuits, but the one I have is not even cool (that's another story). The triangle on her forehead and the circles on her shoulder are the result of my creativeness. I like body-paintings like that. They should be used more often for fashion shows, in my opinion.

Well, it seems like French is good for something.

This one a nice creation. I like the weird hairdo, would like to see something like it in real. I have to admit, dough, that I would never wear my hair like this... :)
The clothing is hippie-inspired, and the body-painting is just cool.

For these models I have no names, because they are anonymous. That is because they are models, and models are the creation of the designer. Not the women's minds of course, but on the moment they walk down the catwalk, they are what the designer want them to be. So I cannot name these women, because this is not what they look like normally. The designer I can name, dough, but that is very exceptionally. The designer is called... Myrah, I think. Just a guess, of course.

More drawings will follow soon ! I have a lot more, but that would be too much for one post and then I would have nothing to show you guys later on.
Hope you liked it (at least a bit)

Vintage art

Wallet
For an online competition, I had to design a wallet.
There is a 250 euro price, I hope that there won't be many wallet designers on the read!
I want to buy a camera (and clothes, maybe). I'm still a little too young to have a students job , but in July I'll be 15. For now I'm just hoping to win this... I saw the winners of the previous part, and they were not thàt good...  I have to buy summerdresses ! No, seriously, I need a camera, but I really want to win, at least one of the personalized wallets! (the first ten win these)
About the wallet I really like old posters, vintage drawings, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, newspapers designs, etc... So I combined :) I hope you like it! (I haven't got photoshop, so it took long to fix it, -> there are some imperfections, of course..)

 Pop Art
Pop art I like a lot. Pop art was mostly used in the mid 50s, for comics, advertising...It looks really modern.
It was an art movement that arose because of a certain mentality of freedom, sexuality and woman emancipation. You all know it from images of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, soup cans, Coca Cola, ...

Roy Lichtenstein He's a great example. You probably saw his art before.

Andy Warhol
Who has not seen Marilyn Monroe like this before? She hangs on my wall, that's for sure. Monroe has always been an idol to me, but now I'm not so sure if I still adore er so much. :)

Disney Disney is inspiration. Mickey Mouse by Andy Warhol

Vintage posters
just love it

         Vintage postcards
Yes, they are absolutely not feminist, and I am a feminist (in thoughts), but I like these. I have a whole collection of vintage postcards, not all like these (I could not find the ones I was looking for). One day, I'll scan them and then you'll all see what I'm talking about.

This is the first 'art post'. It's not all about this theme, but I'm tired and I haven't blogged since a week.
Coming up: Black and white photos, newspaper articles, comic books, superheroes, postcards, Keith Haring, and more fashion of course , but fashion is based on art, and to me art is as important as fashion ..
Well, I'll let you know if I won the wallet competition ! Fingers crossed!

Personal issues

Personal problems that really are no big deal

Yesterday, I thought:
'I stop blogging, I'm so busy right now and I don't think anyone will read it anyway.' And I totally get why nobody reads it, because if I would pass this blog (while I'm not me, bien sûr) I would not read it either. I have nothing interesting to say, you see. But, I said to myself, I should keep trying and maybe then BOOM inspiration would be there! And indeed, I had a phew moments when I was like: I have to remember this - I can write something about it - in mean time I already forgot where this was all about ...
I have a lot of hobbies (subject change so suddenly, why is that? - you'll see!), and I can never decide what to do. I mean - what to do next year? I want to act, I want to keep horseriding, I want to draw, I want to play volley, I want to continue scouting, I want to play the guitar ... And I have to make my homework, I have to study... I don't have enough time! So - I guess - there is no time for blogging. And I will never have that fluent writing style some are blessed with.
Then I started discussing with myself (in silent, let that be clear), and eventually I decided to continue writing. And I don't really care if someone follows me (or maybe I care a little...), I'll write for myself! Maybe this can help to clear out a lot of stuff. :)
Like my hobbies, for example; if someone does something nice or when I see a cool sport, I want to do it. And I can't do everything, you know - well of course you know, but I have to realise!
Blogging is like all these others. We'll see of something good comes from it.

Oh, and I bought this jumpsuit with flowers, that I liked in the store, but when I came home, it absolutely sucked. It's a short one. If you have an idea of how I can wear it and make it look pretty, tell me :) (another reason why I started this blog; I already am subtl but different with what I wear, but I want to create my own clothes - not that blogging will help me, but hopefully I'll get some inspiration on other blogs -- way cooler blogs, I'm afraid -> don't worry! This blog will be cool in no time! You can trust me on this one, I hope ..

Love
Myrah

One more thing:
I need a dress to survive summer in a fashionably way. I wanted to buy this one (at H&M), but H&M online shop does not exist in Belgium. Which is just shit. In the real stores they don't sell these. Hate it.

Owls are in

This image is an example of how you maybe want to be. But, of course, if everyone tries to be that one red
accent, we'll just end up wanting to be the white ones again. If everyone wants to be unique the same way,
then unique won't be unique, and what once was what everyone wore will be creative. You should all find a different way to be yourselves, and we should be white, red, brown, green, yellow, blue, ... wouldn't the world be colourful !
I do know everyone is unique; it's just the point that people keep denying that. You should all decide for yourselves. And what I just said, did not really make any sense, and maybe no-one can get any wiser of these words, but in my head it all seemed okay... :) And in fact, it has nothing to do with the subject!

Owl necklaces
Did you notice the owl accessories everyone wears these days? In Belgium this trend is really popular. Almost all stores sell them. I like them (well, some, I like) but I did not buy an owl necklace, because everyone has them and it wouldn't be special then, would it? It's not that I want to be the centre of all attention, but I don't want to get lost in the crowd either. Here are some pictures, and I don't like all of them, but what I don't like, another girl will like, I hope.

In the online shop Chelsea Doll you find an owl for each girl!
This coloured shiny birdie is not my thing,
but everyone would like at least one owl of Chelsea Doll's collection.
I'm sure you can find owls in all colours in all other stores,
but it's worth checking out!

This blinking owl is from Froulette, a shop I never heard of, but I came across it while I was looking for owls, for you (is there actually anyone reading this, someone I'm talking to when I say 'you'?)!

This owl I saw on another blog, and I must say, this is my absolute favourite! I must add that it looks a lot like the one from Dress Republic, and I saw a comparable one in a shop near my house, so I'm not quite sure about my decision to buy none. I'll wait and see.
Oh, they sell it at Chelsea Doll too!

These are not my style, but I think they would look cute on someone who is into that sort of things. No offence! If you like these cute little owls, don't hesitate and go to Beadesaurus!

For someone who likes it modern (I don't know how to explain this style?) and diamond, infinite gift may have something for you... Or you can always gift it to a friend, like the site hints.

For who likes gold (I do, I do!) this might be nice! I like this design, but I'm not that into the blingbling on the stomach of that valuable (if it would be real) bird. I do like it, though, but not as much as the third one. You can buy it at alibaba.com!

This is the brother of the one I like so much. The difference is that he has colours, and the golden one is more detailed (which I like, obviously!).
This rainbow owl I found at poshposh.com, but it's for sale at forever21, although there is a chance they haven't got it anymore... There are a lot of other necklaces (including owls!), I can assure you!

If I had a clock on my neck, I would... never be late again! (okay that's a lie, but at least it looks like you care about time) And it's a beautiful and stylish clock, that's just a tiny fact you can't deny ! Thanks to Aliexpress we'll never be late again! Or: we'll be fashionably late :) People will forgive you if you were this nice thingie.

I hope you were not too bored when you read this, and that you like owl. I have to admit that I don't want to see any for a while :) If there was something about my writing that irritated you very much, or if my English was horrible, tell me please :D

Do I have any readers yet?

Hi there !
I guess nobody will read this little piece of text, because this is my first day blogging. It would be great if there was someone reading this, though. Let me tell you all (maybe one lost girl who is bored enough to read this?) something about myself, me and I. My name is Myrah and I'm fourteen years old, I'm Belgian. Belgium is this silly land - only known for its record of not having a government - but I can assure you that there is a lot to do. Well, not in my village, but everywhere else.
In this blog I will add pictures of cool outfits and fashion icons, and my own outfits. Only the nice ones, obviously; even I dress bad sometimes... :)
I get my inspiration everywhere, and I combine all sorts of styles. Sometimes I look like a skater girl, sometimes elegant, sometimes exotic, sometimes I even look rough (okay, maybe not rough, but you get the point). But I always look like myself - that is the most important to me. When I wear a very boring outfit - jeans, old sneakers, shirt, sweater - I try to complete it will some special earrings and a bracelet. I have a lot of bracelets, I must admit. I have inherited a whole lot of bracelets from my mum, and she once bought them in Africa. Everything I speak about now, you will read about later, more detailed. If you're interested, at least?
Now I have to go to bed, because I have to look good tomorrow! Well, not specially tomorrow, but everyday... I hope I get some readers soon, because otherwise I won't be motivated to keep going, I'm afraid. So if you like this first message, tell others about it! I will try not to disappoint you.
By the way, these are some pictures of me, and the sunglasses in the first one are not mine, I bought different ones. I will add some better pictures soon!

Love
Myrah
