My designs

What I love to do is draw
When I get bored in class, I draw. That means I draw all the time, actually. At home I don't draw a lot, except for special occasions and blahblahblah. My most beautiful drawings are made during French, Latin, history, ... And my favourite subjects are people, especially girls. I'm working on my sixpack-skills, because that I'd like to draw too. But, besides that, girls/women are a lot more fun to draw, because of the clothes and accessories. Boysfashion can be very cool and creative too, but for now I stick to the stronger gender. It's amazing to draw fashionable women because you can do whatever you want. If you say it's fashion, and you like it, then it is fashion.
Here are some of my French and study drawings:

I really like French elegance and berets. This is no beret, and on me it would look ugly as hell, but I like it. It reminds me of the snood my grandma has, but it can be worn in a stylish way, I believe.
Of course you cannot compare drawn figures with real people, but I do it anyway. Usually I name my fashionista's, but this one I haven't got a name for. I think it might be a Milla or something like that. Ideas ?

She looks a bit startled. Wonder what surprised her.
Okay no that's a little undue. :)

This model is really skinny. Too skinny, really, but that's another case.

I was thinking of Avatar, actually. Avatar as a combination of the blue Na'vi on the planet Pandora and the element controllers of the series on Nickelodeon.
She has the same sort of hat as the drawing above, and a jumpsuit. I'm totally into jumpsuits, but the one I have is not even cool (that's another story). The triangle on her forehead and the circles on her shoulder are the result of my creativeness. I like body-paintings like that. They should be used more often for fashion shows, in my opinion.

Well, it seems like French is good for something.

This one a nice creation. I like the weird hairdo, would like to see something like it in real. I have to admit, dough, that I would never wear my hair like this... :)
The clothing is hippie-inspired, and the body-painting is just cool.

For these models I have no names, because they are anonymous. That is because they are models, and models are the creation of the designer. Not the women's minds of course, but on the moment they walk down the catwalk, they are what the designer want them to be. So I cannot name these women, because this is not what they look like normally. The designer I can name, dough, but that is very exceptionally. The designer is called... Myrah, I think. Just a guess, of course.

More drawings will follow soon ! I have a lot more, but that would be too much for one post and then I would have nothing to show you guys later on.
Hope you liked it (at least a bit)

Love
Myrah

Vintage art

Wallet
For an online competition, I had to design a wallet.
There is a 250 euro price, I hope that there won't be many wallet designers on the read!
I want to buy a camera (and clothes, maybe). I'm still a little too young to have a students job , but in July I'll be 15. For now I'm just hoping to win this... I saw the winners of the previous part, and they were not thàt good...  I have to buy summerdresses ! No, seriously, I need a camera, but I really want to win, at least one of the personalized wallets! (the first ten win these)
About the wallet I really like old posters, vintage drawings, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, newspapers designs, etc... So I combined :) I hope you like it! (I haven't got photoshop, so it took long to fix it, -> there are some imperfections, of course..)

 Pop Art
Pop art I like a lot. Pop art was mostly used in the mid 50s, for comics, advertising...It looks really modern.
It was an art movement that arose because of a certain mentality of freedom, sexuality and woman emancipation. You all know it from images of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, soup cans, Coca Cola, ...

Roy Lichtenstein He's a great example. You probably saw his art before.

Andy Warhol
Who has not seen Marilyn Monroe like this before? She hangs on my wall, that's for sure. Monroe has always been an idol to me, but now I'm not so sure if I still adore er so much. :)

Disney Disney is inspiration. Mickey Mouse by Andy Warhol

Vintage posters
just love it

         Vintage postcards
Yes, they are absolutely not feminist, and I am a feminist (in thoughts), but I like these. I have a whole collection of vintage postcards, not all like these (I could not find the ones I was looking for). One day, I'll scan them and then you'll all see what I'm talking about.

This is the first 'art post'. It's not all about this theme, but I'm tired and I haven't blogged since a week.
Coming up: Black and white photos, newspaper articles, comic books, superheroes, postcards, Keith Haring, and more fashion of course , but fashion is based on art, and to me art is as important as fashion ..
Well, I'll let you know if I won the wallet competition ! Fingers crossed!
